Why invest in language courses when free mobile apps can you learn to speak Spanish fluently?
I polled the net to find the best applications to learn a language. And believe me, I did not come back empty-handed! I suggest you discover the best digital content of the moment.
The best application for learning languages
1. Duolingo, your best friend
I told you about it in this article, Duolingo is an app that hits the mark. It is not only a good compromise between the methods we all know but it is especially super well done.
I finished it in Turkish, German, Swedish and Spanish. Each time, the observation has imposed itself: Duolingo can take you far enough in your learning. At the end of classes, I was able to form beautiful sentences and make myself understood. The only downside I see is the repetitive side of the content. Honestly, we get into the game for a while and then the same revisions come back again and again. That being said ... it is free!
2. Babbel, a safe bet
Babbel what is it? Well, it's the pioneer in language learning on the internet. Created in 2008 by a handful of German linguists, the small start-up quickly became the reference in the field. I tested it for you (but also for me) and I must say that I am extremely satisfied.
The only downside, the app is paid but the quality of the record largely exceeds those of Duolingo. However, a free trial version is available with some lessons offered by the language. For my part, I spend € 10 per month to learn Russian and it works really well! This is also the best app I know to start in this language. 14 languages are available ... start free here.
3. Busuu: a language giant
Busuu is one of the tenors of the market. Its creators are continually looking for ways to make you progress in a fun way. One of them is to offer the cats (that's English eh) with people worldwide. A great opportunity to put into practice what you have just learned!
Hic: the application is paying BUT it offers you to learn 12 different languages and it is ranked for years in the BEST 50 apps. It's you who see ...
4. Memrise, a memory booster
I've already told you, Memrise is a companion I can not live without. After years spent looking for a good way to learn vocabulary, I finally found the rare pearl.
This application is a jewel of ingenuity. It offers you to learn lists of vocabularies that match your level and your desire for progression. Coupled with one (or both) apps that I recommend in this article, you will become very quickly autonomous, it is promised!
5. LingQ: the limitless application
In the category "applications to learn a language", here is one of the most complete that I know. Created by Steve Kaufmann, an American polyglot with 14 languages, the platform is a gold mine of classes of all kinds. The extent of the offer is damn impressive.
It is the only platform to offer courses in rare languages. In short, it comes in the form of dialogues that are dissected as lessons. Hic: you have to discipline yourself and be motivated to get to the end of the resource! The application seems inexhaustible! I recommend you take a look, it's here.
